M83 - Midnight City

One more exam to go. I cannot wait till this is all over!

I have just finished a packet of Tim Tams and I'm not feeling too good. Egh. All those months of slaving away at the gym, wasted.

In other news, I just booked tickets for Eileen and I to see Foster the People at the Enmore, I haven't seen too many shows this year, so I'm very excited. They are definitely going to sell out, so if anyone is interested, you should probably book them ASAP.

There are so many BDO sideshows I want to see - Girl Talk and Best Coast and Laneway! I really want to go to Laneway next year, talk about an amazing lineup - M83, Chairlift, Feist, Girls, The Panics, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, The Drums and Laura Marling! Oh, I am totally jizzing in my pants.

Problem? None of my friends seems too keen. I need to make more friends. Where do you meet people these days?

I don't have anything of substance to discuss, but here's a video very inspirational video you might enjoy. So great.

I really like tacos. Really like tacos.
I wanted to dress up as a taco this Halloween, and stumbled upon this AWESOME taco costume.

Money - The Drums

I am going to attempt to kick start my blogging again by making a list of things I want to do this summer. I should really be studying for my finals next week, but maybe this will give me some motivation and inspiration!

So I was thinking of maybe trying my hand at DIY this summer. I've been trawling a lot of blogs and have been getting a lot of inspiration as to what clothes and accessories I want to make! So here goes my list.
  • Sewing machine
  • Diana Mini Lomography Camera to get me back into film photography!
  • Thrift store shopping for some DIY inspiration
  • Wardrobe clean out - I realise there are a lot of clothes I never wear anymore and there is no room for the clothes that I have been buying, so after reading A Pair & a Spare's Wardrobe Rehab, I've decided to clean out as much as I can.
  • Get that vintage camel coat altered.
Now that I have a list down, I am going to go hit the books again.

Since it is the month of Movember, here is a picture of a moustache.

Blog soon!

Day One: Seoul

After an 8 hour flight, we stopped over in Changi Airport, Singapore for about an hour or so to wait for our connecting flight to Seoul. It was so hot - 29 degrees!

On that flight, I had my first Bloody Mary. It was DISGUSTING. The hostess put way to much vodka in it and the Tabasco and tomato juice balance was off. Not having another one any time soon.

I had pan fried fish fillet served with creamy white wine sauce, buttered vegetables and steamed potato - yum! I also ordered me some red wine so I could get some sleep on the plane, and the hostess gave me a strange look and asked me if I was over 18. I flashed her a look of disgust and she quickly filled my small glass with some wine, it was actually quite nice, though it didn't help much with the sleeping.

For the second
I watched a bunch of movies on the plane, sad to say that Scott Pilgrim vs The World was not on that list. There wasn't really the greatest selection of in flight entertainment but I ended up watching:

  • The Greatest (Starring Aaron Johnson and Carey Mulligan)
  • (10 minutes of) The Backup Plan (it was pretty terrible to say the least)
  • New York, I Love You
  • A couple of episodes of The Good Wife
  • A couple of episodes of Dr Who (season 5)
Didn't get much sleep at all, or even a chance to read my Harry Potter book.

We finally stopped over in Changi,  I had to run around the airport to find an information desk to get a password for the internet, it was so frustrating! Finally got the internet up and running, and managed to Skype with Monira just minutes before I boarded the connecting flight to Seoul. Good times!

This is what I had on the Singapore to Seoul flight. It tasted as bad as it looks.
We finally arrived in Seoul, got our baggage, checked through customs and immigration, and caught a bus to our hotel. A sleezy middle aged man tried to book a taxi for us, but we said no and ran off to find the bus that we needed. He even tried to grab my suitcase from me and drag it for me! Jerk.

The bus ride took about 80 minutes or so and it stopped right in front of the hotel, and it only costed us 10 bucks! So cheap!

Seoul is such a beautiful city! There is so much to do here, we walked around for about 4 hours as we couldn't check in until about 2pm, so that sucked. We didn't really buy anything because we wanted to have a look around to get a general idea of prices. EVERYTHING HERE IS SO CHEAP AND THERE IS SO MUCH THAT I WANT TO BUY! I have no idea how I am going to fit everything into my suitcase, I might have to wear about 10 shirts on the plane to Vancouver. I really do think it may resort to this.

Lunch cost me about 6 bucks or so, sooo good. I had a really big food baby afterwards. It was pretty painful. I will upload pictures later.

I'm too tired right now to blog, so I will continue this tomorrow morning.

Arcade Fire - Ready To Start

There are 7 more days to go and I have almost finished planning. Phew.

Things I can now cross off my to do list:

  • Credit cards
  • Travel Insurance
  • Centrelink
Now the only thing left on my to do list (aside from the Business Strategy Competition and packing) are really 'people to see'. I saw Brian and Mezz at UNSW yesterday, that was lots of fun. Mezz is awesome as always, we had lunch, and he drove me back to MQ which was very kind of him. I am going to miss everyone so much!

I have a dentist appointment at 12.30, meeting up with Dhurka at 2, and Theresa is staying over tonight, so lots of cleaning needs to be done.

Dinner with Esther and Yvonne tomorrow night, and dinner with Andrew on Monday night.

Time is running out and I am freaking out.

Taken somewhere in Alexandria.

Until next time folks.
